    Gather all ingredients.

    Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add sausages and bacon to the Dutch oven; cook until bacon is crisp. Reserve 1 tablespoon drippings in Dutch oven; drain and discard remaining drippings. Crumble bacon; halve sausages.
  • Step 3
    Heat reserved drippings, crumbled bacon, and sausages in Dutch oven over low heat. Add potatoes, onions and carrots; cook and stir until onions soften, 7 to 10 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Stir in stock and milk; bring to a simmer and cook until potatoes are fork-tender, 30 to 45 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
